"substance of things hoped"
"........ To paraphrase a joke about the theater of Robert Bresson, one might say that architecture is the architecture. And it's always for the people of this architecture, which wants to change architecture, not ever change. There, you can not change, otherwise it will become something that is not architecture. Architecture is always equal to stessa.Ma if the architecture is also, still, "substance of things hoped for " is because it does not require renegotiation every time its meaning and its membership in the world. The architecture is the world, in the form in which it is made available ad accogliere l'uomo: una forma di cui l'uomo ambisce a fissare i principi nei quali riconoscere e verificare valori collettivi e condivisi. La celebre "profezia" di Edoardo Persico del 1935 è dunque l'esempio più chiaro di come non serva a nulla chiedersi affannosamente ogni volta cos'è l'architettura. La speranza di Persico non risiede nell'imperativo di cambiare tutto per disfarsi al più presto del proprio, deteriorato, presente. È invece la speranza di mettere a fuoco, comprendere e condividere questa sostanza delle cose; cose di cui riconosciamo i nessi inevitabili, nonostante tutta la storia dell'architettura sia troppo spesso presentata soltanto come il racconto dello sforzo prometeico di rompere quei nessi, di decidere il proprio future (that is, literally, to separate it from the present), to free themselves from the oppression of a past that inhibits the completion of the project. ......"
(from Theory and Critica.Punto and head)
E 'the same Persian critical to have the intuition that, alluding to Wright, said that the 'new architecture was created in the wake of impressionism, "Wright second Persian can' be considered the new Architecture Cezanne" .
the Cezanne who had worked on a contradiction (Volume and fragmentation) an interest to bring the line to the primary forms of the cone, the sphere, the cube by putting them in a logical and analytical summary that determines a presence abstraction-identification of constituent parts.
The most concise of the period is of course the prospect of autonomy in context and removes property. Cezanne breaks this new vision to give autonomy to the parties in a fragmented vision.
It is the same analytical logic, which "optimizes and puts in order" to move the ranks of the new industrial age.
... If we were to use the power of machines in order to build a new freedom for man, organic free in the city is now inevitable on our civilization, we could live forever!
... The home will have individual organic relationship with the landscape, with the media, with the distribution of means of consumption, with educational opportunities and cultural events. Decentralisation first, then planned reintegration. ....
. .... The architecture and the space will be jointly viewed as landscape, as were the best ancient architecture, and will become more essential to each other. ....
...." The man is not a 'atrazione acts and functions, which he had designed the mechanical printing capabilities, which all reduced to the standart model of car. " .....( Wright)
The first idea on which we build Wright , putting him in opposition to Le Corbusier and Elijah, is that the machine should not imprint the life of man, because man is individual and so are its functions and its ways of life.
